Originally designed in 1988 by an electrician, for electricians, the system is now used in a wide variety of applications.

Committing to the development of well-engineered, modular vehicle storage, Global Storage, a division of Global Services Ltd, is making its mark in the van and vehicle market with a flexible range of racking solutions.

The company’s original search for practical mobile storage solutions for the yachting world took them all around the globe, until finally uncovering the price and flexibility benefits of a truly modular solution down in Australia.

Explains engineer and Managing Director at Global Storage, Richard Gardiner, "our own journey of discovery showed a real gap in the market for cost-effective, high quality storage solutions, whatever the craft.  It’s a recurrent problem facing a lot of electricians and many other self-employed trades people in the UK."

Now, taking over the mantle of the Rola Group, which has more than five year’s experience in the UK racking market, Global Storage is providing a wide range of case and storage solutions from top global manufacturers, in particular Australian based Rola-Case, along with its own modular designs for shelving and racking solutions, manufactured in the UK.

As a result, Global Storage customers can mix and match, buy just what they need, a few components or a whole van installation, as much or as little as they like. 

Electrician John Smith of Teignmouth-based Strand Electrics liked both the price and the performance of his Global Storage racking solution when he paid less than £1000 to kit out a Citroen Berlingo.

Explains John, "the whole solution has really increased the capacity in my van.  What I really like are the see-through storage case lids. One glance and you know exactly what’s inside. From a purely practical basis, it means you can grab a case quickly and know it’s the right one for the job."
